We need Your blessings, Lord!
I was introduced to Bob's blog and feel deeply moved by the last portion of this entry which echoes the voice that I often hear in my heart:
May God bless you with DISCOMFORT
at Easy Answers, Half-Truths, and Superficial Relationships,so that you may live Deep Within Your Heart.
May God bless you with ANGER
at Injustice, Oppression, and Exploitation of People,so that you may work for Justice, Freedom, and Peace.
May God bless you with TEARS
to shed for those who suffer from Pain, Rejection, Starvation, and War,so that You may reach out Your Hand to Comfort them and to turn their Pain into Joy.
May God bless you with enough FOOLISHNESS
to Believe that You can Make a Difference in this world,so that You can DO what others claim cannot be Done.

Yes, Lord. We need such blessings from You. Take away the curse of wrong comfort, of apathy, of careless laughters, of cowardly intelligence from us. In our fear to lose our lives, we have lost everything, even life itself, and so we are dead while we live. I pray that You have mercy on us! Do not bypass our generation but may we have a part in Your eternal will. Amen.
